The RDA horses and ponies provide therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities all over the UK. Their network of 500 volunteer groups organise activities such as riding, carriage driving, vaulting, showjumping and Hippotherapy to over 25,000 people each year.
The RDA has been carrying out life-changing activities for almost 50 years, and take great pride in the exceptional standard of their coaches and volunteers (18,000 in all). They offer activities for all age groups and, wherever possible, to people with any disability – and you’re just as likely to find an RDA Group in an urban setting as a rural one. They rely on voluntary help, donations and legacies to deliver their services. Get reading and help the RDA! New feature for Sweetbriars, Leaving The City, "The new book every horsey child needs to read. I found this book very good, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a fantastic story and I recommend it to all horse lovers. Packed with a mixture of friendship, horses and a love of the countryside, the book really is a must read. I hope Hollie Anne Marsh continues the series."
